I’ve been posting blogs on Wednesdays for quite a while now… Back in January, I talked about all the content I was putting out and what the schedule would be, and I’ve managed to stick to that… up to this week.
On Friday, we kicked off the Podcasters Assemble (Probably) podcast with Iron Man, and have released episodes daily at 9am since then, and plan to continue to do so until Endgame releases. I’m really proud of how the show is turning out, but it’s taking a lot more work than I expected it to. So much so, that I actually cut my video game podcast down to once a week, instead of twice… probably a good move all in all.
So, let’s talk about what goes into this show. My wife and I are rewatching all of the MCU movies, and then also recording our thoughts about them, and then there’s the editing… so much editing. Tyler Thornton, the brains behind the We Can Make This Work (Probably) network edited the episode that comes out today, which gave me a nice break, but my wife and I still had an MCU movie to watch last night (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which still holds up)… so basically I don’t have a lot of free time to do much besides watch MCU movies, talk about MCU movies, think about MCU movies, and edit other people talking about MCU movies.
Early yesterday I realized it was a Wednesday, which is blog post day for me, but I couldn’t think of anything I’d done that I really wanted to write about except the MCU, and I felt like I was writing about that plenty already, so I didn’t get anything written in the morning. At lunch, I still couldn’t think of an idea. Then I got home, made dinner, and went for a walk with my wife and our dog, and then we sat down to watch the movie and, well, I forgot.
I know no one cares, but that feels like a big miss to me. I’m loving this project, and I’m proud of its progress, but I don’t want to let my focus on it overshadow other things… at least not too much.
