I’ve been goofing off lately with Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. They are video games where you drive a semi truck on long-hauls and get punished for speeding, driving in the wrong lane, running red lights, or doing just about anything else that is typically fun in a game where you drive a vehicle.

And for some reason, it’s a ton of fun. I couldn’t explain why, but it’s so engrossing and relaxing to hitch up a trailer, get out of town, and drive across the countryside.

I streamed a bit of both today over at twitch, and will definitely do more so in the future.

Now I just need to find a USB steering wheel to really get in to things!
